About

Welcome to the Maryland Criminal Defense blog, published by the law firm of Andalman & Flynn. Since our founding in 1998 in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, we’ve built a solid reputation for excellence in the practice of law throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Author: Mary Ellen Flynn, Esquire. As the managing partner of Andalman & Flynn, P.C., I have had the privilege of defending the residents of the State of Maryland in State and Federal Courts for 21 years. Born and raised in Queens, New York, I graduated from State University of New York in Binghamton with honors in 1985 and then received my law degree from Washington College of Law at American University, cum laude, in 1988.

I was the President of the Montgomery County Bar Association from 2007 to 2008.  I am honored to and enjoy giving back to my profession in a variety of ways, including serving on the following Bar Association committees:  the Executive Committee, the Courthouse Construction Committee (Chair), the District Court Bench Bar Committee and the Social Committee. I have also served as President of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation and on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors for the Maryland State Bar Association.

Peter Casciano and I both hope to educate and inform via this MarylandCriminalDefenseBlog.net and I trust that you will find this blog to be helpful and interesting.

Author: Peter Casciano, Esquire. I attended the Catholic University of America Law School, located in the nation’s capital. I am a lifelong product of Montgomery County, MD; specifically, I grew up in Montgomery Village.

I began this blog to share with you my knowledge and experience on the criminal and traffic cases I’ve handled and issues I’ve encountered. As a criminal defense attorney, lots of people ask me: “Hey, I’ve always wondered about…” or “Can a cop really do this….” I hope to use this space as a forum for discussion and educate my readers out there in cyberspace.
